Dr. Shahin Tavackoli, MD

Dr. Shahin Tavackoli earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB).He then completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and returned to UTMB to complete his fellowship in cardiology.

Board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, he has been in practice since 2004. His clinical interests are in cardiology and cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Tavackoli is dedicated to providing evidence-based, state-of-the-art cardiac care in a personal manner. He offers a wide range of diagnostic testing in the convenience of his office. He speaks Farsi and some Turkish.

A published author in peer reviewed journals and an invited speaker on various subjects relating to cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Tavackoli is a council member of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. He serves as a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and is a past chair of cardiology at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center.

Dr. Tavackoli and his wife have a son. His outside interests are in music, archaeology, history, photography and travel.
