Dr. Indira Reyes-Contin, MD

Board-certified family physician Dr. Indira Reyes-Contin, a primary care provider who treats patients of all ages, is a native Spanish speaker. She earned her medical degree at Universidad Catolica Nordestana in San Francisco De Macoris, Dominican Republic, followed by an internship at Hospital San Vicente De Paul, San Francisco De Macoris, Dominican Republic. She completed her residency in family medicine at Bronx Care Health System. She served as an Advance Medical Spanish instructor for Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Dr. Reyes-Contin diagnoses and treats a wide variety of conditions, including acute illnesses and long-term chronic diseases. Her primary clinical interests are diabetes treatment, preventive care and patient education, which she considers a key factor in successful outcomes.

Because she wants her patients to thoroughly understand their medical conditions, Dr. Reyes-Contin focuses on providing useful information and maintaining excellent communication. She uses a holistic approach to care and works to understand all the factors that affect patients’ health and their willingness to follow treatment plans. She enjoys watching patients improve with appropriate guidance, as well as working with them as a team to improve their health and prevent future disease.
