Dr. Rupa Patel, MD

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Emory University, Rupa Patel, MD, went on to complete her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her internal medicine residency at Zucker School of Medicine and Northwell Health at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y.

Dr. Patel knows how important health is and she truly enjoys helping people. Her passion drove her to become a physician. The primary care setting allows her to create a home base for patients, where she can provide care, support and comfort to them.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Patel is dedicated to caring and treating adult patients for acute and chronic conditions. Patients see her for adult wellness visits, cold and flu symptoms, upper respiration infections, urinary tract infections (UTI) and chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, COPD, asthma and obesity. Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, nutrition and diabetes management. She is fluent in Gujarati.

Patients in Kingwood and the surrounding communities will find that Dr. Patel is an attentive physician with a desire to educate her patients about their medical conditions. Dr. Patel believes that by following a team-based approach, she is able to empower her patients to make the best decisions for their medical treatment and preventive care.

In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading and traveling.
