Dr. Joshua Samuels earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. He completed his fellowship in adult and pediatric nephrology and hypertension at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston.

Board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric nephrology, nephrology and hypertension, Dr. Samuels has practiced medicine since 1995. His clinical interests include hypertension and tuberous sclerosis as well as acute and chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Samuels treats adults and children with kidney disease and provides thorough explanations  of their conditions and treatment options.

A Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Society of Hematology, Dr. Samuels serves as a professor of Nephrology, director of the Hypertension Program and director of the fellowship program at McGovern Medical School.
