the whole patient - physically, emotionally and spiritually." — Dr.
Dr. Rivers lives in Richmond with his wife

his family. He is also an avid Texas A&M fan.
I had pain in my left knee that made it difficult to walk
and I could not stand on my leg for more than 15 minutes. Since my partial knee
replacement I can now walk without pain and have returned to my prior lifestyle.
Dr. Rivers was most informative about the impending surgery. He made everything
clear so I could make an intelligent decision. I was pleased with the
professionalism of the employees at RBJC. I was seen promptly and treated with

Over the years, I have seen Dr. Rivers, Dr. Guzel and Dr.
Hildreth for basketball related injuries. Since basketball is my only form of
cardiovascular exercise, it is very important that I get back on the court as
quickly as possible.
Everyone at Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic is very
professional and courteous. I don't feel that I spend much time at all in the
waiting room, and the doctors always take the time to answer all of my

really love the service and attention I receive at RBJC. In 2004, I was in a
really bad car accident that caused me to miscarry; and that is when I was first
introduced to Dr. Rivers at RBJC. My legs were trapped in the car and that
caused me serious pain. Dr Rivers examined everything and to this day, I am pain
I approached Dr.
Rivers because I was having a lot of problems with pain in my knee. I'm very,
very active with cycling and with snow skiing and rollerblading. I also had a
lot of problems with my knee locking up.
So, I saw Dr. Rivers and
scheduled the procedure (Partial Knee Resurfacing, PKR) for April. I had the
surgery done and after the first couple of weeks of extensive physical therapy,
I noticed a rapid improvement. I've been able to gain the majority of mobility
back in my leg.
I really have zero discomfort in the knee right now. I've
started cycling and do approximately 30 to 70 miles a week. I've just begun
rollerblading again. This winter I'll be skiing Mont Blanc in Chamonix,

I run Varsity track for Dulles High School and I race BMX
competitively on a national scale. My knee injuries happened during track
events. My shoulder injury happened during a BMX event. Under Dr Rivers care and
treatment, I was able to recover quickly and stay competitive in both of my
sports. Thanks to the treatment I received from Dr Rivers for the past two
years, I am currently ranked 5th nationally for my age group in BMX competition
and I was able to achieve my letter in track for Dulles High School. Dr Rivers
is very professional and I have confidence in his ability to keep me strong so I
can stay competitive.
was very difficult and I could hardly walk. The quality of life was extremely
poor as I am an outdoorsman and I was unable to enjoy the things that I wanted
to do. Dr. Rivers walked me through a series of procedures prior to deciding to
do the replacements.
After the surgery, rehab at the Sugar Land location
was great. I strongly recommend Dr. Rivers and any other doctor who is
associated with Richmond Bone and Joint to anyone with orthopedic needs. Dr.
Rivers is one of those people that you trust totally to do what is in your best
interest and not what is best for his pocket book. He listened to me and we
worked TOGETHER to get me back up and doing all the things that I enjoy doing.
THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK!!

I have and will continue if necessary to use Richmond Bone and
Joint, as I can attest that they are the best at what they do.
