San Antonio native Jennifer Lapp Macia, MD, BS, FAAP, earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Rice University in Houston. She then graduated with her Doctor of Medicine and her Master of Public Health from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Macia went on to complete training in pediatrics during her internship and residency with Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital.

Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), Dr. Macia enjoys all aspects of general pediatrics medicine, but her clinical interests include breastfeeding, nutrition and adolescent medicine. She treats patients living in Alief, Bellaire, Houston, Missouri City and Stafford.

Dr. Macia is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). In addition, as a clinical assistant professor at Baylor in the Department of Pediatrics, she mentors and teaches residents and medical students.

When she is away from her patients, Dr. Macia enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their dog Charley. In addition, she likes to cycle, hike and garden.
