Dr. Maria Codreanu, MD

Dr. Maria Codreanu earned her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Gr. T. Popa) in Iasi, Romania, and a master's degree in international law at the Bucharest University School of Law. She completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Emergency Hospital of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, as well as fellowships in microsurgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, general surgery at the Hospital of Queens (New York)-Weill Cornell Medical College, and vascular surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.

Board certified in surgery, Dr. Codreanu also serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. Previously she taught at Hunter College-City University of New York, the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in New York City, and Karpas Institute in New York City. She has authored a number of journal articles and textbook chapters and presented numerous conference sessions on vascular surgery.

Dr. Codreanu speaks fluent Romanian, French and Spanish.
