Frequently Asked Questions

I can only make a small gift at this time. Will it still make an impact?

Every gift makes a difference. The cumulative effect of several small gifts can be very significant, helping fund projects around the Memorial Hermann Health System. In this way, the power of your gift is magnified many times over.

How do I make a Memorial gift?

You can designate your gift in memory or in honor of a special person by selecting the appropriate box when you access the Online Donation Form or the Contribution Form for donations to be made by mail.

Will I receive a thank you note for my gift?

Yes. After making an online donation, you will receive an immediate confirmation and thank-you message. The Development Office will acknowledge donations sent by mail as soon as possible.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. The Memorial Hermann Foundation is a component of the Memorial Hermann Health System, and gifts are deductible on federal tax returns subject to the limits allowed by the Internal Revenue Service (see IRS Code 170). A copy of the letter documenting tax-exempt status is available from the Development Office. If you make a gift associated with a product, event or service, the Development Office will provide you with the necessary documentation for tax purposes.

For more information about making a gift to the Memorial Hermann Foundation, please send an email request to or call the Development Office at (713) 242-4400.
