Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists are physicians with specialized training who offer comprehensive services in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with joint pain, spine pain, and musculoskeletal/sports-related injuries. Physiatrists plan treatment based on a thorough evaluation of the patient’s medical history, a comprehensive physical exam, review of diagnostic testing (x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, laboratory testing and/or electro-diagnostic exams).

Physical Therapists are licensed professionals that provide physical therapy services.  Physical therapists perform and interpret tests and develop therapy programs focused on improving posture, movement, strength, endurance, cardiopulmonary function, coordination, joint mobility, flexibility, and functional abilities in daily living skills.

A Spine Surgeon is a board-certified physician with specialized training and is the hospital-affiliated physician that performs your spine surgery. He or she will oversee your care throughout your stay at the hospital and provide each patient with a personalized plan of care.

Nurse Navigators are Registered Nurses with specific clinical knowledge, who offer individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome health care system barriers. They are advocates for patients to ensure proper coordination of care. They communicate with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team while providing education and psychosocial/emotional support.

Spine Continuum of Care

The Rockets Orthopedic Hospital Spine Program uses a multidisciplinary teamwork approach that promotes a continuum of care environment that involves each member of our spine care team working together for the benefit of the patient.
