In 2012, Rebecca moved to Houston and began her career with Memorial Hermann Case Management on the Oncology unit at Memorial City and in 2018 was nominated for Employee of the Year. She also facilitate a patient support group with Houston Area Aphasia Center. Currently for the last two years with Memorial Hermann Northeast Cancer Center and she facilitates their local breast cancer survivorship group. She is currently a member of the Association of Oncology of Social Work and serves as the psycho-social coordinator for the Integrated Network Cancer Committee with Memorial Hermann.
Rebecca enjoys yoga and spending time with her family traveling. She is originally from outside of Chicago, Illinois and while she loves her Texas family, she will always be a Cubs fan. “I’m thrilled to be in my current position and that I can make a positive impact in someone’s life."
Becoming a cancer survivor is a major event in the cancer journey. Memorial Hermann offers resources and education to individuals in all stages of the cancer journey. We invite patients, caregivers, and loved ones to learn at our classes led by cancer specialists who will guide you through topics including post-treatment rehabilitation and reconditioning, the importance of good nutrition and exercise after cancer treatment, as well as mental, emotional, spiritual health, and more!
