For over a year now, the Greater Houston community has been battling the COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in thousands of deaths, hospitalizations and life-changing health complications for the people who contract COVID-19. Health experts agree: the best hope we have to protect ourselves, our families, our neighbors and our community from the ravages of this disease is the COVID-19 vaccine.
Unfortunately, we are finding that in our underserved communities where vaccines are needed the most, those residents are among the most hesitant to get vaccinated. Their reasons range from mistrust of government, lack of access to care, concerns about possible side effects and more.
Memorial Hermann is undertaking a special initiative to address vaccine hesitancy by reaching out to people in our community’s most vulnerable, at-risk populations. But we need your help!
