About Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center

More Than a Hospital

Serving the community since 1971, the professionals at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center have always been committed to bringing the highest quality healthcare to the residents of west Houston. With the opening of the 33-story Memorial Hermann Tower in 2009, we’re continuing to carry that commitment to a whole new level.

A one of a kind medical center, Memorial City combines a state-of-the-art hospital complex with an exclusive hotel and retail center, all on a single, integrated Campus. West Houston residents now have convenient access to more than 1,100 physicians representing 70 plus medical specialties, approximately 1,800 employees and 300 volunteers, all providing exceptional patient care right in the neighborhood.

Comprising four floors of the Memorial Hermann Tower, our Women’s Memorial Hermann and Children’s Memorial Hermann are the first dedicated women’s and children’s facilities to be built outside of the Texas Medical Center. And our new addition, the Center for Advanced Orthopedics provides four floors of unmatched orthopedic expertise with a staff and environment fully dedicated to the needs of orthopedic patients.

Excellence in Nursing Care

Since 2009, Memorial Hermann Memorial City has been designated by the ANCC’s Magnet Recognition Program®. Ultimately, Magnet designation is reflective of nursing care and quality and is considered the highest level of recognition the profession can receive.

Research Initiatives

Memorial Hermann Memorial City explores new, innovative treatments each day that are changing healthcare and improving quality of life for our patients. We partner with McGovern Medical School and The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) to foster research initiatives, giving patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials for promising new therapies close to home.
