HOUSTON (October 29, 2015)

Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital recently hosted two reunions to celebrate the life and health of patients and families cared for in the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU) and the pediatric epilepsy program. Over 700 guests – many in Halloween costumes – attended the annual get-togethers, which took place at the Houston Zoo on Sunday, October 18. The events included a bouncy house, photo booths, pumpkin decorating, face painting, carnival games and of course all of the animals residing at the Zoo.

“This is a huge event for our little graduates,” said Kim Hokanson, clinical manager of the NICU at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. “The parents are able to celebrate a milestone in the lives of their children while the caregivers get to follow-up with the patients they helped take care of. This was our biggest reunion event yet and we hope to continue to see it grow over the coming years.”
