Headshot of Keith AlexanderMemorial Hermann Healthcare System announced the appointment of Keith Alexander as Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. Alexander assumed the CEO position on June 4.

"I am pleased to announce that Keith Alexander will lead our Northeast campus," said Rod Brace, Memorial Hermann Chief Regional Operations Officer. "He is a seasoned health care executive with a background as a leader for both non-profit and proprietary hospitals and systems. This makes him uniquely qualified to lead our Northeast campus as we integrate it into the Memorial Hermann family."

Alexander currently serves as senior vice-president and chief operating officer for Saint Joseph HealthCare in Lexington, Ky. He oversees operations there for three acute care hospitals and a long-term acute care hospital. Prior to his current position, Alexander served in regional leadership and CEO positions for non-profit and proprietary hospital systems in Utah and Connecticut.

Alexander earned his master's degree in healthcare administration from Ohio State University. Among his achievements, Alexander was named in 1998 as one of America's "Up 'N Comers" by Modern Healthcare magazine.
