Dr. Vinu Ninan, MD

Board-certified family medicine specialist Dr. Vinu Ninan treats patients of all ages–from babies to seniors. He earned an undergraduate degree in organismal and physiological biology at Drexel University, followed by a medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in family and community medicine at the University of California, Davis, after which he supervised residents and served on the faculty of the UC Davis Family & Community Medicine Program.

Dr. Ninan offers treatment for acute conditions, such as colds and flu, and chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension. He also provides routine physical examinations and vaccinations.

His patient-centered approach to care focuses on people’s uniqueness. Dr. Ninan finds ways to incorporate what each individual can regularly and realistically accomplish into a personalized–not “cookie cutter”– health management plan. Because he emphasizes patient education, an important part of his practice is providing the knowledge patients need to understand factors that impact their health and empowering them to improve it.

Dr. Ninan’s favorite part of practicing family medicine is getting to know patients over the course of successive visits, allowing him to build trust, understand what motivates them and get them to a point where they can live long, fulfilling and healthy lives.
