Dr. Ahmed Ansari, MD

After graduating from the University of Houston with his bachelor’s degree, Ahmed Ansari, MD, completed his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He completed his internal medicine residency and general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was a recipient of the Outstanding Graduating Fellow Award and served as chief fellow.

Board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Ansari is dedicated to providing quality health care to male and female adult patients experiencing a broad scope of cardiovascular issues. Patients can schedule a visit with him for routine cardiovascular screenings, preventive screenings, evaluation coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, congenital heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. Dr. Ansari has advanced training in interventional cardiology, which gives him the expertise in stent placement and other advanced minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Ansari likes to put emphasis on educating his patients about their conditions and treatment regimens. Through better understanding, Dr. Ansari feels that patients are better able to manage their conditions, symptoms and overall health.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is a native Houstonian and, in fact, was born at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
