Dr. Angie Curtis earned her undergraduate degree from Xavier University in New Orleans and her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her pediatrics residency at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and a fellowship in primary care (non-surgical) sports medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also holds a master’s degree in physical therapy from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB).

Dr. Curtis, who is board certified in pediatrics, has been in practice since 2011.  She focuses on the management of acute injuries, overuse injuries, fractures, concussions and other sports-related issues common to athletes, active children and teens. Her background as a physical therapist provides a unique perspective on injury evaluation, prevention and treatment.

Dr. Curtis is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness.
