Please note that all patients under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by an adult, adult family member or legal guardian during their treatment time. Patients 16 years of age or older are required to be accompanied by an adult during their initial appointment for paper work and consent purposes. After the initial visit, adult supervision may no longer be required. If an adult is not present with the patient as listed by our age requirements, the patient may be asked to be rescheduled.
Abigail Arango, DPThas a Bachelor of Science in exercise science and a doctorate in physical therapy. She has also completed advanced training in differential diagnosis, pelvic health, pregnancy and post-partum physical therapy and pediatric physical therapy. In practice since 2017, she performs dry needling, prenatal/postpartum therapy and pelvic floor therapy, specializing in urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain. She sees patients 1 year old and older. Beyond regular hours, Abigail is available to schedule early morning and evening appointments.
Nicole Baker, DPT, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT has doctorate in physical therapy and is residency and fellowship-trained. She is board certified as both a physical therapist and an orthopedic specialist. In practice since 2013, she performs manual therapy (manipulative) in the neck/shoulder, thoracic/lumbar and knee areas for patients ages 10 and older. Nicole specializes in providing therapy for orthopedic sports and musculoskeletal conditions, pre- and post-operative cervical and lumbar spine, and post-operative upper and lower extremities.
Byron Black, PT, DPT, OCS has a master’s and doctorate in physical therapy, and has been in practice since 2003. He is also board certified in Orthopedic conditions. He performs dry needling, Graston Technique/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and spinal manipulation. He specializes in diagnoses affecting the spine, but treats most all conditions affecting extremities as well as TMJ. He is available to schedule early morning appointments on Tuesdays in addition to regular clinic hours.
Heather Engler, PT, DPT, MSPT, ATC has a bachelor’s in athletic training and a doctorate in physical therapy. She is a certified athletic trainer and specializes in providing therapy for thoracic/lumbar, hip and foot/ankle, including SI joints. Heather has been a physical therapist since 1999 and is one of the spine specialists at The Woodlands Medical Plaza location. She uses the McKenzie Method, dry needling and manual therapy to treat patients ages 16 and older.
Ruben “Pierce” Fonseca, PT, Spine Co-Lead received his doctorate of physical therapy from The Ohio State University and has been practicing since 2019. He completed the Memorial Hermann Orthopedic Residency program in 2020 and now acts a mentor for new and oncoming orthopedic residents. Pierce treats patients of all ages with musculoskeletal conditions and specializes in spine rehabilitation, both non-operative and operative treatment.
Elaine George, DPT, Clinic Manager has both a master’s and a doctorate in physical therapy. She is board certified in physical therapy and has certifications in vestibular rehabilitation and CPR. In practice since 2007, she sees patients ages 8 and older. She provides vestibular rehabilitation, prenatal/postpartum therapy and headache/head injury/concussion therapy. Elaine also treats the thoracic/lumbar and foot/ankle areas. In addition to regular hours, she is available to schedule early morning and evening appointments.
Nancy Harris, PT, who has been in practice since 1988, has a bachelor’s in physical therapy and a master’s with specialization in athletic training. She is a certified physical therapist and certified athletic trainer. She provides orthopedic therapy in the hip, knee and foot/ankle areas for patients ages 16 and older. Beyond regular hours, Nancy is available to schedule early morning appointments.
