Alexa Edwards received her Bachelor of Arts in English literature from UC Santa Barbara and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She is residency trained and is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. Alexa’s areas of interest and specialization include the spine, foot and ankle, and treatment of athletes / active individuals. She is a member of our pediatric orthopedic, spine and hip preservation teams and has advanced certification/training as an orthopedic and manual therapy provider.

Alexa is faculty within the Memorial Hermann orthopedic residency program, is heavily involved in research for the spine and hip preservation programs and has presented spine research at national meetings. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Physical Therapy Association. Alexa believes in helping patients reach their goals through evidence-based, collaborative sessions specific to each individual. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking/backpacking, cooking and yoga.
