Dr. Putao Cen earned her medical degree at Sun Yat-Sen University in China. She completed residencies at Columbia University/St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, as well as a fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, Dr. Cen’s clinical interests are in gastrointestinal and genitourinary malignancies, including colorectal, gastroesophageal, pancreaticobiliary, prostate, urothelial, and renal cell cancers.

In practice in Houston since 2004, Dr. Cen treats patients 18 years and older and speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese. She has been recognized as a Top Doctor by U.S. News & World Report.

Dr. Cen’s practice philosophy is to treat her patients like her own family, providing them top-notch oncological care. She’s known for being easily accessible and easy to understand.
