Meditation, Chapel and Prayer Rooms

The Bowles Chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital. All are encouraged to enter this interfaith sacred space for spiritual strength and solace. The Chapel is open daily from 6:00am until 7:00pm. You are invited to enter for prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection. Weekly services are as follows:

  • Catholic Mass: Sundays at 12 p.m.
  • Weekly Moment of Prayer: Wednesdays at 12 p.m.

A Muslim Prayer Room is located on the first floor of the Heart and Vascular Institute.

Patrons may call the Chaplaincy office to obtain worship times and schedules for special worship times throughout the year (Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Easter, etc).

Visiting hours are flexible. Please check with a nurse.

Language Assistance: Interpreting services are available for all languages (including American Sign Language - ASL). The patient or family representative should ask a nurse for assistance.

Gift Shop: 1st floor, near main hospital lobby, Monday thru Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday thru Sunday: Noon to 4:00 p.m. or visit the gift shop's online store.

Smoking: Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital is a tobacco-free campus.
