Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital has been Recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting the National Quality Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.
Our program is for people with all types of diabetes, including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes, and both newly diagnosed and well-established patients that want to improve their blood glucose control.
An individualized approach, which may include a group learning session, allows the patient to identify the behavior changes and strategies needed to control diabetes. The Diabetes Education Program is staffed by nurses and dietitians specializing in diabetes management.
