Memorial Hermann defines cancer survivorship as beginning the day of a cancer diagnosis. If you have just been diagnosed with cancer, are currently going through treatment or have completed primary treatment, you are a cancer survivor. Whether the long-term or ongoing effects are physical, spiritual or psychosocial, the survivorship journey is different for everyone.
At Memorial Hermann we understand a cancer diagnosis can make you feel alone, and we therefore recognize how crucial it is to have support during this time. We have therefore created a closed Facebook group for patients and their families to both connect with each other, and receive insight, comfort and friendship.
