During spring break, kids still enjoyed some reading time, thanks to volunteers from Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. This week, doctors and staff dedicated their time to reading to children at the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center as part of National Reading Month. On Tuesday kids gathered around to listen to a story read by Dr. Carla Falco with Blue Fish Pediatrics and Children’s Memorial Hermann. The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center has readings every day this week through Saturday at 10 am and 1 pm.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land doctors and staff are honored to volunteer their time to help foster a love for reading in children.

“Reading is such a great way for kids to explore their imagination and creativity as well as promote their language development and critical thinking skills,” said Dr. Carla Flaco with Blue Fish Pediatrics and Children’s Memorial Hermann. “It’s enjoyable to share book adventures with children through reading.”

This is the second consecutive year that Memorial Hermann Sugar Land has partnered with the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center for National Reading Month.
